Isleworth Society

Northcote Nature Reserve is situated off the cul de sac end of Northcote Avenue, Isleworth, TW7 7JQ. The access track is alongside the Hounslow Furniture Project, opposite the allotment gates.

The Friends of Northcote Nature Reserve are aiming to create a nature reserve and wildlife sanctuary. Read more here

The park can be reached from the Twickenham Road, close to Isleworth Library and Leisure Centre and from Worton Road, Isleworth.

The facilities include an outdoor gym and a children’s play area. Redlees Studios occupy a converted Victorian stables block.

St John’s Gardens

It’s accessible from A207 Twickenham Road, Isleworth TW7 6AA, and from North Street and Mill Plat. There’s a small children’s playground and a stretch of the Duke of Northumberland’s River.

The park is reached from St John’s Road and Linkfield Road, Isleworth; it also has a children’s play area and interesting wooden sculptures.

Thornbury Park

Syon House, and the 200 acre Park bordering the River Thames and overlooking Kew Gardens, is the London Home of the Duke of Northumberland. It is accessible from Park Road, Isleworth and also from the London Road, Brentford. Read more here.

The park can be accessed from the London Road and also Woodlands Road, Isleworth. There’s an outdoor gym, a children’s play area, a football pitch, skateboard site and new basketball hoops. Read more from the Friends of Thornbury Park here

Osterley Park

Owned by the National Trust, Osterley Park and House is a Georgian country estate created in the late 18th Century. The house was built in the 1570s by Sir Thomas Gresham and transformed by Robert Adam for the Child family in the 1760s. There are places to explore on foot, by cycle and even by kayak. The gardens and park can be accessed from the Great West Road, Ridgeway Road and St Mary’s Crescent. They were developed in 1930/31 and originated when gravel was extracted from their site for the construction of the Great West Road in 1920-25. There is a children’s playground.
