Following submission of an amended flood risk assessment, retrospective permission has been granted for retention of two large shipping containers to provide for equipment storage on the site within Isleworth Riverside Conservation Area.
British Garden Centres is seeking removal of a condition, which constrains use of the whole premises only to being a garden centre, in respect of a building believed originally to have been for agricultural use. This has been unused for some years, is dilapidated and not regarded as useful for retail purposes; the aim is to find a commercial use to justify the significant investment required to rescue it.
Replacement of closed fencing with a 4m high secure fence to the perimeter of the existing garden to Robin Ward Lakeside Mental Health Unit: in progress.
Removal of existing timber fence in car park, pavement side bollards and replacing the timber fence with new 2 metre high mesh fence and car park security gate: approved.
Listed Building consent granted for conversion to accommodation but planning permission refused on grounds of failure to demonstrate current use is not viable, proposal would create sub-standard internal and external accommodation and fails to provide access for cycle parking.
Conditions relating to cycle parking approved for change of use of ground, first and second floor from offices to provide five flats; also re-naming Flats 1-3 to be 6 Swan Street, 9 and 10 Lawrence Parade.
Removal of conditions restricting permitted development rights for sub-division of existing dwelling house into one 2 bed and one 1 bed house: refused.
Erection of upper storey to create 7 flats with replacement pitch and flat roof, new bin store plus soft landscaping with canopies on all communal entrances: approved.

On 14th Oct Hounslow’s Planning Committee refused the application from Northumberland Estates to redevelop the Park Road Allotments site. The Isleworth Society is proud to have been a part of the campaign to protect this local green space. It thanks the very many local residents and groups, as well as the regional and national organisations, who took the time to object to the Application.
